The International Collegiate Programming Contest is an algorithmic programming contest for university students. Teams of three, representing their university, work to solve the most real-world problems, fostering collaboration, creativity, innovation, and the ability to perform under pressure. Quite simply, it is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.

Three students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, presented their original research on Generation Z's sustainable behavior towards Green IT at the 3rd International Conference on Environmental Concerns and Sustainable Development (ICECSD-2023) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A team comprising members of the Sonargaon University Programming Club (SUPC) achieved 9th place in the Al-Khwarizmi Capture the Flag (CTF) cybersecurity competition. The team demonstrated strong technical expertise by solving challenges across multiple cybersecurity domains and earning a total score of 4,668 points.

Students from the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Sonargaon University, presented their research on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in agriculture at the 6th International e-Conference on Business, Artificial Intelligence & Nano Technology (ICBAINT-2023) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Four students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, presented their research at the 3rd IOU Conference on Research & Integrated Sciences (IOUCRIS’23) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Their research on cybersecurity awareness among Generation Z received appreciation from the session chair and panel members.

Following a mock contest, 66 students were selected to participate in the main competition.

The event provided students with valuable insights into modern web development, AI-assisted programming, communication skills, and professional career development.
