The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, in collaboration with Cyber Bangla, successfully organized an Online Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition as one of the featured events of SU CSE FEST 2025. Held on 26 February 2025 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the competition brought together students interested in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and information security for an exciting seven-hour technical challenge.
Participants competed by solving a variety of real-world cybersecurity challenges covering topics such as Web Exploitation, Cryptography, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Steganography, and other information security domains. The competition tested the participants' analytical thinking, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities in a simulated cybersecurity environment, encouraging hands-on learning and practical skill development.
At the conclusion of the competition, Kazi Sabbir (CSE2501034051) was crowned Champion, while MD Kaium Hossen (CSE2203027083) secured the First Runner-up position and MD Naeem Sarker (CSE2403033292) became the Second Runner-up. The winners were recognized during the Prize Giving Ceremony with awards for their outstanding performance. The event successfully promoted cybersecurity awareness and inspired students to further develop their skills in ethical hacking, digital security, and cyber defense, reinforcing the department's commitment to preparing future cybersecurity professionals.
