Four outstanding students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, proudly represented the university at the 3rd IOU Conference on Research & Integrated Sciences (Hybrid Mode – IOUCRIS’23) on 03 March 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Md. Rifat Ali, Saima Chowdhury, Maria Akter, and Mrittika Rani Dey presented their research paper titled "Unlocking Cybersecurity Awareness among GEN Z in the Post-COVID-19 Pandemic: The Mediating Role of Cybersecurity Attitude." The research explored cybersecurity awareness among Generation Z in the context of the post-COVID-19 pandemic and highlighted the importance of cybersecurity attitudes in shaping awareness and behavior.
During the conference, the students' research presentation received appreciation and positive feedback from the session chair and panel members. Saima Chowdhury, representing the authors' panel, delivered the presentation and demonstrated strong research communication and presentation skills.
The research team was supervised by Mohammad Rashed Hasan Polas, Lecturer (DBA) and Researcher (CRTC), Sonargaon University. Their successful participation in an international research conference reflects the Department of Computer Science and Engineering's commitment to encouraging undergraduate research, academic excellence, and international engagement. The achievement also highlights the university's growing contribution to research in cybersecurity and emerging technology-related fields.
