The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, organized a Programming Contest to provide students with an opportunity to test and enhance their programming and creative problem-solving skills. The initiative was designed to encourage students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a competitive and practical environment.
As part of the selection process, a mock contest was conducted, through which 66 students were selected to participate in the main contest. The competition challenged participants to demonstrate their programming proficiency, logical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, and creativity while solving a series of programming problems within a limited time.
The entire event was supervised by Partharaj Deb, Senior Software Engineer at 24, Uruguay, and Technical Screener at Toptal, USA, who served as the judge and problem setter. His industry expertise and challenging problem set provided the participants with valuable exposure to professional-level programming and problem-solving standards.
The contest successfully encouraged students to assess their technical abilities, identify areas for improvement, and develop greater confidence in competitive programming. Such initiatives contribute to strengthening the culture of programming and algorithmic problem-solving within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
