Students and faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, achieved remarkable success at the SU Intra-Department Indoor Games Competition 2025, securing championship and runner-up positions in Chess, Table Tennis, and Carrom events.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, proudly participated in the SU Intra-Department Indoor Games Competition 2025, organized by the Sports Division of Sonargaon University. The competition was held from 15 January to 29 January 2025 at the SU Indoor Games Corner, bringing together enthusiastic participation from students of all running batches as well as faculty members from different departments. The event featured competitions in Chess, Table Tennis, and Carrom, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among the university community.
The Department of CSE delivered an outstanding performance, with both students and faculty members earning top honors across multiple categories. In the Teachers' Carrom Board event, Arifur Rahaman, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, and Rashedul Islam, Lecturer, secured the Runner-up position. Rashedul Islam also became the Runner-up in the Teachers' Table Tennis Singles event, demonstrating exceptional sporting excellence.
Among the students, Meherun Nesa Juie (CSE2203027040) and Mst. Tamanna Akter (CSE2401031015) emerged as Champions in the Women's Carrom Board event. Meherun Nesa Juie also secured the Runner-up position in the Women's Table Tennis Singles category. In the Men's Carrom Board event, MD Kaium Hossen (CSE2203027083) and MD Musa Sheikh (CSE2301028183) achieved the Runner-up position. These accomplishments reflect the department's commitment to promoting not only academic excellence but also extracurricular participation, leadership, and a healthy sporting culture among its students and faculty members.
