The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Sonargaon University (SU) was established in 2013 under the Faculty of Science and Engineering with the goal of providing quality education in computing and information technology. The department offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering program that is designed according to the curriculum of reputed national and international universities.
The department is committed to developing skilled graduates with strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in computer science and engineering. Students gain expertise in programming, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer networks, database systems, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies through a balanced combination of classroom learning, laboratory work, and project-based activities. The CSE Department has qualified and dedicated faculty members, modern computer laboratories, and a resourceful library to support teaching, learning, and research. Students are encouraged to participate in programming contests, technical workshops, seminars, research projects, and extracurricular activities to enhance their professional and leadership skills.
